Telangana ECET 2015 Important Tips
1. All the photographs submitted with the application must be exactly identical. Otherwise Hall Tickets will not be issued. Such applications will be summarily rejected
2. Candidates are not admitted to the examination after 10.00 A.M. and not permitted to leave the hall before 01.00 P.M
3. It is the responsibility of the candidates to ensure that they are answering the correct Question Booklet of the branch for which they are eligible for admission for FDH candidates only
4. The Question Booklet code Hall Ticket No. and other details must be entered correctly and properly on the OMR Answer Sheet in the Test. Otherwise ranks declared if any will be cancelled subsequently in such Cases
5. Candidates must return both the Question paper Booklet acknowledgement slip and OMR Answer Sheet after the test Question paper will be in English only

Telangana ECET 2015 Test Details
1. The Entrance Test is of three hours duration and Question Paper consists of total 200 questions as per scheme of entrance.
2. All Questions will be Objective Type Each Question Carries one mark. Timings of Test are 10.00 a.m. to 01.00 p.m
3. Telangana ECET 2015 Syllabus in Mathematics Physics Chemistry and Engineering Specialization and Separately for Pharmacy is Furnished for Diploma Holders in Annexure-I and syllabus in Mathematics Analytical Ability and Communicative English is furnished for B.Sc.(Mathematics) degree holders in Annexure-II and Model Questions are furnished in Annexure-III

Entrance Test Appear for the Eligibility

1. The Candidates Satisfying the following Requirements Shall be Eligible to Appear for ECET
2. They should be of Indian Nationality
3. They Should belong to the State of Telangana The Candidates Should Satisfy Local / Nonlocal Status Requirements as laid down in the ( Andhra Pradesh ) Telangana State Educational Institutions Order 1974 as subsequently amended
4. They Should have Obtained a Diploma in Engineering and Technology/ Pharmacy from the State Board of Technical Education of Telangana State or any Other Diploma Recognized by the Government of Telangana as Equivalent Thereto for Admission into the Relevant B.E./ B.Tech. / B.Pharmacy Courses into the Courses Corresponding to the Diplomas as Given in the Following Annexure
5. They Should Have Passed the 3-year B.Sc Degree Examination with Mathematics as one of the Subjects in the Group Combination from a Recognized University in the State or its Equivalent for entry into Relevant Courses as Given in the Following Annexure
6. Candidates who are pursuing a Diploma course shall be eligible for entry into the relevant B.E./B.Tech./B. Pharmacy courses provided they have completed the practical training prescribed for the award of diploma course before admission into the college
7. Candidates Should have passed Diploma in Engineering and Technology/ Pharmacy/ B.Sc Degree as the case may be with at least 45% marks (40% in case of candidates Belonging to Reserved Category) for Entry into Relevant Courses

Eligibility for Admission Into B.E./B.Tech./B.Pharm


1. For lateral admission through Common Entrance Test into 2nd year regular B.E. and B.Tech Courses in All India Council for Technical Education approved Un-Aided Private Professional institutions (Minority & non-Minority
2. for Admission Through Common Entrance Test into 1st year Regular B.E and B. Tech Courses in University Engineering Colleges for the Seats Specifically Earmarked for Diploma Holders and B.Sc Degree Holders
3. For lateral admission through Common Entrance Test into 2nd year Regular B. Pharmacy Courses in both University and private un-Aided professional institutions (Minority & Non Minority) approved by Pharmacy Council of India
4. Candidates should have appeared and qualified at the ECET-2014. Mere appearance at the Entrance Test does not automatically entitle a candidate to be considered for entry into any course unless the candidate satisfies the requirement of eligibility and other criteria laid down in the rules of admission
5. Admission to 85% of the seats in each course shall be reserved for the local candidates and the remaining 15% of the seats shall be un-reserved seats as specified in the Telangana Educational Institutions (Regulations and Admissions) Order 1974 as Subsequently Amended

Explanation of Local and Non-Local Candidates

1. Candidate for Admission shall be Regarded as a local Candidate in Relation to a Local Area
2. If he / she has Studied in Educational Institution or Educational Institutions in Such local area for a Period of not less Than four Consecutive Academic years Ending with the Academic year in which he/she Appeared or as the case may be first Appeared in the relevant Qualifying Examination
3. Where During the whole or any Part of the four Consecutive Academic years Ending with the Academic year in which he/she Appeared or as the Case may be First appeared for the Relevant Qualifying Examination he/she has not Studied in any Educational Institutions, if he/she has resided in that local area for a period of not less than four years immediately preceding the Date of Commencement of the Relevant qualifying examination in which he/she appeared or as the case may be first Appeared.
4. Candidate for Admission to the Course who is not regarded as local candidate under clause in Relation to any local area Shall
5. If he has studied in educational Institutions in the State for a period of not less than seven consecutive academic years ending with the academic year in which he/she appeared or as the case may be first Appeared for the relevant qualifying examination be regarded as a local candidate in relation to
6. Such local area where he/she has studied for the Maximum Period out of said Period of seven years or
7. Where the Period of his/her Study in two or More local Areas are Equal Such local area where he/she has Studied last in such Equal period or (b) If During the whole or any Part of Seven Consecutive Academic years Ending with the Academic year in which he/she Appeared or as the Case may be first Appeared for the Relevant Qualifying Examination he/she has not Studied in the Educational Institutions in any local area but has Resided in the State During the whole of the Said Period of Seven years be Regarded as a local Candidate in Relation to

9. Where the Periods of his/her Residence in two or more local Areas are Equal such Local area where he/she has Eesided last in such Equal Periods
10. The following categories of candidates are eligible to apply for admission to the remaining 15% of un-reserved seats

12. Candidates who have resided in the State for a total period of 10 years excluding periods of study outside the State or either of whose parents have resided in the State for a total period of ten years excluding period of employment outside the State
13. Candidates who are children of parents who are in the employment of this State or Central Government Public Sector Corporations Local Bodies Universities and other similar quasi-public Institutions, within the State
14. Candidates who are Spouses of those in the Employment of the State or Central Government Public Sector Corporations Local Bodies Universities and Educational Institutions Recognized by the Government or University OR other Competent Authority and Similar Quasi Government Institutions within the State
