Central Institute of Fisheries Technology (Indian Council Of Agricultural Research) Cochin invites applications from the eligible candidates for filling up of the following Technical & Administrative post at Central Institute Fisheries Technology, Cochin and its Research Centres at Veraval, Visakhapatnam and Mumbai.
1.Technical Assistant (Laboratory Technician)

2.Technical Assistant (Field/Farm)

- Educational Qualification : Bachelor’s degree in Agriculture / Sociology/ Statistics/Economics/ Social Sciences or equivalent qualification from a recognized university
3.Technical Assistant (Press & Editorial)Hindi Translator

- Scale of Pay : Rs.5200-20200 + 2800 Grade Pay
- Educational Qualification : i) Bachelor’s degree in Hindi Language or equivalent qualification from a recognized university, with three years experience in science writing and science journalism in Hindi as evidenced by published material.ii) Diploma in translation from Hindi to English and vice versa.
4.Stenographer Gr.III

- Educational Qualification : 12th Class pass or equivalent qualification from a recognized Board or University
5.Lower Division Clerk
- Number of Posts : 07

- Scale of Pay : Rs.5200-20200 + 1900 Grade Pay
- Educational Qualification : i) 12th Class pass or equivalent qualification from a recognized Board or University ii) A typing speed of 35 w.p.m. in English or 30 w.p.m. in Hindi on Computer (35 w.p.m. and 30 w.p.m. correspond to 10500 KDPH on an average of 5 key depressions for each word)
6.Lower Division Clerk (Hindi Typist)
- Number of Posts : 01
- Place of posting : Cochin
- Scale of Pay : Rs.5200-20200 + 1900 Grade Pay
- Educational Qualification : i) 12th Class pass or equivalent qualification from a recognized Board or University ii) A typing speed of 30 w.p.m. in Hindi on Computer (30 w.p.m. correspond to 10500 KDPH on an average of 5 key depressions for each word)
7.Skipper Grade II

- Scale of Pay :Rs.15600-39100 + 5400/- Grade Pay
- Educational Qualification : i) Matriculation or equivalent qualification. ii) Certificate of competency as Skipper. iii) Five years practical experience on board fishing vessel after obtaining Mate Fishing Vessel competency Certificate
Application Fee : Application fee of 200/- (Rupees two hundred only) in the form of demand draft drawn in favour of “ICAR Unit – CIFT” payable at Cochin should be enclosed alongwith the application.Women candidates,Persons with disabilities and candidates belonging to SC/ST category are exempted from payment of application fee.
